Motion Graphics Prompts: Kinetic Typography and Animated Shapes

Motion graphics prompts should identify hierarchy and timing. For exact typography or numbers, generate a clean visual base and add verified text in a design or editing tool.

Kinetic Typography Prompts

Use the copy-ready brief below as a combined shot and edit plan. Generate the clean background first, then place the approved words as editable text layers with the stated timing.

Prompt 1.

Prompt text
Create a four-second kinetic-type opener for a bicycle repair guide. Generate a clean 2D background: three bold geometric arrows slide into place over cream, teal and charcoal panels, then settle around a safe central title area. Generate no letters. Edit plan using separate, editable text layers: 0–1 s, approved word CHECK slides upward; 1–2 s, REPAIR replaces it with a short scale-in; 2–4 s, RIDE holds centered for reading. Keep the three words, their order and the stated timing unchanged. Before export, check spelling, safe margins and reading time in the final edit.

Editable type storyboard (illustrative, not a tested output):

TimeApproved textMotion and edit
0–1 sCHECKSlide the editable word upward over the generated background.
1–2 sREPAIRReplace CHECK with a short scale-in.
2–4 sRIDEHold the final editable word centered for reading.

Use the generated geometric sequence only as a background. Apply CHECK / REPAIR / RIDE as verified, editable text in the final edit; review timing and spelling before export.

Shape and Data Animation Prompts

Separate decorative motion from factual charts. Generated shapes can frame a process, but a real comparison must start from verified values and be built at the correct scale in an editable design or editing tool. Never add numbers to arbitrary model-generated bar heights.

Prompt 1.

Prompt text
Create a decorative 2D transition for an explainer: three equal-height rounded bars rise together behind a title area, then fade out. Keep the bars identical and unlabeled, with no axis, ticks, values or implied ranking. This is an abstract visual, not a comparison chart.

Verified-data chart brief (fill every bracket from the approved source before use):

Prompt text
In an editable design or editing tool, animate a three-bar comparison using approved values A=[verified value], B=[verified value] and C=[verified value]. Use one zero baseline, equal bar widths and bar heights proportional to the three values. Add the exact labels, units, source and date from the approved dataset. Check every number and the visible proportions against that source before export. Do not use model-generated bar heights as data.

Worked scale example — fictional teaching data, not advertising evidence. If a lesson uses A=10, B=20 and C=30 units, the bars should share a zero baseline and have relative heights 1:2:3. Put 'units' on the axis and mark the dataset 'fictional example'; replace all three values, labels, source and date with approved data before publishing a factual chart. Recheck visible proportions in the editable file after animation.

How to Write Your Own Motion Graphics Prompts

Storyboard the beats: introduce the shape, animate the relationship, pause for reading, then transition out. Never treat AI-rendered figures as factual data. If the title is unreadable while shapes move, pause the shapes for a full reading beat and add the approved wording in the editor.

Make a Finished Video From Any Prompt in Pexo

Provide the approved title text separately and use the prompt to shape its motion. Bring the brief and any source assets you own to Pexo. Review the preview and request one concrete revision. If you want to turn the brief into video, Pexo’s Seedance 2.5 page lists a free first video after account registration; check the current offer and credit conditions before rendering.

Motion Graphics Prompts FAQ

Should I generate final statistics as pixels?

No. Add verified values later so spelling, units and scale can be checked.

Should the model generate exact headline text?

Plan the motion around a clear title area, then add approved wording in the final edit. Check spacing after export.
