Listen to the busiest bar of the song while watching the preview. Word-by-word motion can suit a sparse vocal, but with a dense verse it can leave listeners reading a beat behind. A phrase that appears together gives the eye a head start. For a narrative song, compare the live-action, 2D and 3D Religious Stories previews as visual references. Choose a scene that makes sense under a particular verse. When the lyrics carry the story themselves, a quieter background can give the listener more time to read.

Try a repeated chorus as well. If the singer holds the last word longer the second time, a layout that depends on identical cuts may fight the recording. For a mostly spoken line or a quote without a backing track, compare text animation templates.

Questions?

We're here to make it clear. Check out our FAQs, and if you still have questions, Pexo is always ready to help.

How should I break long lyrics into lines?
Break where the singer phrases the words. Keep names and short expressions together so the viewer can read each line as a complete thought.
Should text disappear when the singing stops?
Leave a brief hold when a line needs time to land. Clear it before the next phrase if keeping both on screen makes the reading order unclear.
What if two voices overlap?
Give each voice a consistent position or label. Preview the overlap with someone unfamiliar with the song to see whether the exchange is readable.
